Lake Nakuru National Park
For a list of Kenya safaris that visit Lake Nakuru National Park,
Encompassing roughly 65 square miles, Lake Nakuru National Park may be limited in size, but it’s not lacking for sights. Established in the early 1960s, this game refuge boasts some of the best birding opportunities in Kenya, including the chance to glimpse a sea of pink: Flamingos can be seen gathering in the thousands along the lake.
Leopards, giraffes, lions, waterbucks and pythons are some of the 400-plus species found in the region, and the park also is a black rhino preserve, as more than 25 of the magnificent beasts call Lake Nakuru home.
